1 (a) Domestic Garden Scheme - construction cost under £20,000
A scheme commissioned for a domestic dwelling, with a total cost to include VAT, of no more than £20,000. This scheme may include all aspects of landscaping, i.e. hard & soft/lighting etc.

1 (b) Domestic Garden Scheme - construction cost between £20,000 and £50,000
A scheme commissioned for a domestic dwelling, with a total cost to include VAT, of no less than £20,000 or no more than £50,000. This scheme may include all aspects of landscaping, i.e. hard & soft/lighting etc.

1 (c) Domestic Garden Scheme - construction cost between £50,000 and £100,000
A scheme commissioned for a domestic dwelling, with a total cost to include VAT, of no Less than £50,000 or no more than £100,000. This scheme may include all aspects of landscaping, i.e. hard & soft/lighting etc.

1 (d) Domestic Garden Scheme - construction cost between £100,000 - £250,000
A scheme commissioned for a domestic dwelling, with a total cost to include VAT, of no less than £100,000 or no more than £250,000. This scheme may include all aspects of landscaping, i.e. hard & soft/lighting etc.

1(e) Domestic Garden Scheme - construction cost over £250,000
A scheme commissioned for a domestic dwelling, with a total cost to include VAT, of over £250,000. This scheme may include all aspects of landscaping, i.e. hard & soft/lighting etc.

1 (f) Domestic Garden Scheme - maintenance only
Regular maintenance contract of a domestic garden or gardens.

1 (g) Soft Landscaping Construction - construction cost under £300,000
A scheme which involves landscape construction for non-domestic clients covering less than one hectare. Projects may include paved areas but will be predominantly soft landscaping including planted areas.

1 (h) Soft Landscaping Construction - construction cost over £300,000
A scheme which involves landscape construction for non-domestic clients covering more than one hectare. Projects may include paved areas but will be predominantly soft landscaping including planted areas.

1 (j) Hard Landscaping - construction cost under £300,000
A scheme which is overwhelmingly hard landscape construction e.g. paved surfaces, in both cost and extent but may include small planted elements. The total cost should not exceed £300,000 inclusive of VAT.

1 (k) Hard Landscaping - construction cost between £300,000 - £1.5 million
A scheme which is overwhelmingly hard landscape construction e.g. paved surfaces, in both cost and extent but may include small planted elements. The total cost should not exceed £1.5 million inclusive of VAT.

1 (l) Hard Landscaping - construction cost over £1.5 million
A scheme which is overwhelmingly hard landscape construction e.g. paved surfaces, in both cost and extent but may include small planted elements. The total cost should be more than £1.5 million inclusive of VAT.

1 (m) Land Renewal and Regeneration Scheme
A mainly construction project which transforms derelict or neglected land into a valuable landscape, including a neglected historic, designed or natural site. This includes historic park restoration and land rehabilitation for nature conservation. Pre-project photographs and description should be included in entry material.

1 (n) International Award
The International Award can be either a Domestic or Commercial contract. Interior or Exterior. The only stipulation is that the contract is undertaken outside mainland UK.

1 (p) Design Excellence Award - overall project cost up to £50,000
Open only to all Designer Members of BALI to recognise the talent of the designer who satisfies the design brief of the client.

1 (r) Design Excellence Award - overall project cost over £50,000
Open only to all Designer Members of BALI to recognise the talent of the designer who satisfies the design brief of the client.

2 (a) Grounds Maintenance - single site
The high quality maintenance of a public park or similar landscape where free access is maintained to the general public and work is undertaken for mainly public sector clients e.g. local authority, charitable trusts etc.

2 (b) Grounds Maintenance - business and private grounds
For grounds which are being maintained to high standards for mainly commercial clients, and where public access is limited e.g. company headquarters, business parks etc. Contracts may be for single or multiple sites.

3 (a) Interior Landscape Installation
This will be awarded to a contractor who shows innovation and clever use of planting within an interior environment.

3 (b) Interior Landscape – maintenance only
Only regular contracts of interior areas large or small.

4 (a) Best Use of Lighting
For the best use of lighting within a scheme that enhances the whole project will be considered for this prestigious award.

4 (b) Employer of the Year
This award is to recognise the contribution being made to the landscape industry by BALI members that achieve excellence through staff development and exemplary business practices.
