Overview Located close to Leicester’s historic old town, the Jubilee Square project was designed to completely regenerate a prominent city centre public realm area intended to commemorate the visit of HM Queen during the Diamond Jubilee celebrations in 2012. Works comprised extensive high-quality Prima Porphyry paving and Royal White Granite for terracing of soft landscaping areas punctuating the substantial public realm. The paved events areas, bounded by silver grey granite setts, provide a link to the city centre’s St Nicholas Circle and High Street. The imaginative design substantially improved and enhanced the entire public realm area to a high specification in keeping with the importance of the development and its overall design intent.
