Overview For Waverley Borough Council this was a project that challenged all our skills, plus a few new ones that we had to learn along the way. The site from the outset has beena demanding one with overgrown marshland and river flood plain which flooded and caused works to be suspended. Eventually, an area of contaminated marshy waste land, previously an eyesore and dumping ground, had been transformed into a local asset in a landscaped setting comprising five new coloured floodlit tennis courts and a pavilion, a foot path alongside the river with new seating and much needed additional eco-friendly car parking for the town; plus a photo-voltaic system that contributes toward the new lighting system.
