3 Merchant Square, London, W2

Frosts Landscape Construction

Overview The project consisted of thoughtfully designed hard and soft landscaped areas to complement a residential, high-specification development echoing the great engineering past of the Paddington Basin area. The scope of works included waterproofing the podium slab, formation of reinforced concrete over slabs, installation of bespoke stainless steel drainage and the large canal coping stones. Over 2,000m2 of granite paving was laid featuring radial cut paving for the bespoke water fountain and radial granite amphitheatre. The installation of bespoke cast iron kerbs, cast iron benches incorporating hardwood seating, cast iron walls to form planters, and dividing walls were also carried out by Frosts Landscapes. Lawns and large hardwood decking areas were laid to accommodate the numerous events the development continues to host.

The contractor has stepped up to the plate and undertaken a colossal engineering challenge. Materials reminiscent of Paddington Basin’s engineering past have been expertly incorporated into the design. Every aspect of the construction has been carried out with precision. The client is delighted and the residents and retailers of 3 Merchant Square can enjoy urban landscape design and construction at its very best.
