Stage 1 - Adjudication
Adjudication of the Awards is carried out by an independent panel appointed by the BALI Board of Directors. Click here to view.
Adjudication of Categories 1A to 1Y
Entry deadline 23rd May. Each entry is allocated an adjudicator whom will. They collect their entries at the end of May. BALI will notify you who your adjudicator will be by email. The Adjudicator will contact you and your client to arrange a visit date. They will visit your scheme and takes photographs to substantiate your entry and compile a report.
Entries are assessed for their quality and standards of professional skill. The supporting entry material is very important to help the adjudicator understand the scale and impact of your scheme.
Adjudication of all other categories 1Z Overseas, 2A & B Design Excellence,
3A Affiliate Exceptional Service and 4A Employer of the Year
Entry deadlines 14th July. The adjudicators collect all entry submission packs by end July. Submitted entry packs are reviewed from their submitted detail, photos and videos only. No site visits are undertaken. The adjudicator will complete a report.
Stage 2. Adjudicator Deliberation Meeting
At the end of August the Adjudication Panel return for a three day meeting to present their reports of each entry for all categories to each other, the Chairman of the Panel Greg Allen, BALI COO Wayne Grills and Project Manager Angela Donovan. Each entry is presented, discussed and scrutinised to ensure consensus of the panel. Winners and non winners are then awarded.
Stage 3 - Winners Announced
In early September, BALI will contact you to advise if you have won a BALI National Landscape Award. The winners are then announced via BALI News, Horticulture Week and www.bali.org.uk and this site.
Stage 4 – Winner Photo Collection & Feedback
All winners are invited to submit additional photographs online to be used to promote their award winning schemes at the ceremony.
Feedback for all winners and non winners is available by written request to email@example.com from 15th September to the 15th of October only. Feedback requests are collated and then responded to after this closing date of the 15th October.
Stage 5 - The Awards Ceremony
All award entrants are encouraged to attend the BALI National Landscape Awards.
Tickets are available to purchase from September onwards and an early bird booking rate is offered for those who book before October.
The prestigious ceremony, held in December, attracts around 800 guests from all over the UK and Internationally. It is known for being the largest and best in the industry providing a platform to showcase industry excellence and provide and an effective networking environment.
Principal, Special Awards and the Grand Award winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony. All winners information is press embargoed until after the Awards presentation. Please note, not all categories will necessarily have an Award winner or a Principal winner.
Stage 4 – Promotion
All winning schemes will receive one plaque at the Awards ceremony. Additional plaques can be purchased by completing a plaque order form which is available upon request from firstname.lastname@example.org.
All winners of a BALI National Landscape Awards are permitted to use the relevant BALI Award Winners’ logo.
BALI and Horticulture Week will promote all winners and supply a press release template for winners to promote to their local press. BALI will promote all winners to industry press UK wide once Horticulture Week’s first announcement.
Whist the winner remains a Registered member of BALI they will be promoted as an Awards Winner within the annual BALI Who's Who Directory.
