Awards introduction
The BALI National Landscape Awards were first introduced in 1976 and are held annually to recognise BALI members who have demonstrated exceptionally high standards of professionalism and skill in the execution of a wide variety of landscaped schemes.
The Awards are open to all full BALI members and, new for 2010, probationary BALI members have been able to enter the Awards. The wide range of categories ensure that every part of the landscaping industry is recognised, from the individual designer and domestic contractor to the largest multi-location company working in the commercial arena.
Winning a BALI National Landscape Award is the pinnacle of professional achievement for BALI members. The Awards are respected in the UK and abroad as the standard to which others aspire and rightly reflect the prestige of BALI.
In 2010 BALI’s Board of Directors announced that the Association’s prestigious BALI National Landscape Awards event will be in association with Horticulture Week, the leading business weekly title for the professional horticulture community.
“The Awards’ success has led us to consider how best to handle the event’s development going forward” explained BALI National Chairman Richard Gardiner. “The proposal from Haymarket Events, which included promoting the BALI National Landscape Awards as the landscape industry’s premier Awards event, will bring major benefits to the Association and the wider industry.”
The entries and judging process will continue to be administered and invigilated by BALI, whilst Haymarket Events will handle the event management, logistics and event production for the Awards luncheon on behalf of BALI and Horticulture Week.
